Frequently asked questions
Birds & Oaks is tucked away in the hills of Uttarakhand and is comfortably accessible by road, rail, and air. Detailed directions can be found in our Getting Around section, and our team will be happy to assist you with local transport and taxi arrangements.
By Air
The nearest airports are Pantnagar (PGH) and Bareilly (BEK). From the airports, the property can be reached via a scenic drive of approximately 2 hours and 3.5 hours respectively.
By Train
Guests travelling from Delhi can board the early morning KGM Express, which arrives at Kathgodam Railway Station. From Kathgodam, Birds & Oaks is about a 1.5 hour drive through the hills.
By Road
The property is approximately a 7 hour drive from Delhi, making for a beautiful journey through changing landscapes, forests, and mountain roads.
For the latest and most convenient routes, we recommend checking Google Maps before beginning your journey.
Check-in is at 2:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am.
If you need to arrive earlier or depart later, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate your request based on our reservation system.
At Birds & Oaks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served through thoughtfully curated multi-cuisine daily set menus that change regularly, allowing us to offer fresh, seasonal, and well balanced meals prepared specifically for the day. We do not follow a traditional à la carte dining format for main meals, though a limited selection of light snacks and smaller bites may be available separately on request between meal hours.
Our cancellation policy for direct bookings is as follows:• Cancellation 30 days or more before check-in → Eligible for full refund• Cancellation 15 to 30 days before check-in → 100 percent booking amount converted into future stay credit• Cancellation 7 to 14 days before check-in → 50 percent booking amount converted into future stay credit• Cancellation within 7 days of check-in → Non-refundable bookingGuests may request one complimentary date modification if informed at least 7 days prior to arrival, subject to availability. Modified bookings cannot be cancelled again.For bookings made through online travel platforms, cancellation policies of the respective platform will apply.
We offer both EP (Room Only) and CP (Room with Breakfast) plans. Guests can choose the experience that suits their travel style best while booking.
At the moment, Birds & Oaks is not a pet friendly property. As the estate is designed around shared spaces, landscaped areas, and a carefully maintained environment for all guests, we’re currently unable to accommodate pets during stays.

Yes, reliable Wi Fi is available throughout the property. While we encourage guests to disconnect and enjoy the pace of the hills, connectivity is available whenever needed.
Guests can experience guided nature walks, local explorations, stargazing sessions, pool and sauna experiences, indoor games, shared dining experiences, nearby spiritual trails, and quiet spaces designed simply for unwinding.
Yes, transfers can be arranged from the nearest airport or railway station upon prior request. Our team will be happy to assist with planning your arrival.
Yes, families are warmly welcomed. Since the property is built across natural slopes, stairways, and hillside pathways, we recommend active supervision of children throughout the stay for added safety and comfort.
The Blue Lagoon pool, steam, and sauna experience operates on a reservation basis with timed sessions to maintain privacy, comfort, and a relaxed atmosphere for all guests.
